The Phone Book is operated as an independent student project and is not an official Grand Canyon University service.

Optional Google sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, Google and Supabase Auth provide only the five identity fields used by this site: google_id, name, email, email_verified, and profile_photo. Supabase stores the secure account, session, and private Phone Book preferences. These fields are not displayed publicly.

Private sync and offline storage

After sign-in, saved events, interested-event selections, optional profile fields, calendar view, recent searches, and map preference sync privately by default. A browser copy supports offline use. Guests remain local-only. You can clear the browser copy from Resources; signed-in cloud preferences remain until deleted through the account workflow.

Information loaded from our event feed

The app reads published event listings from a public event feed. It does not request your GCU password, student number, precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, class schedule, or room number.

Community reports

The in-app report form prepares text on your device. It does not auto-fix, auto-publish, or silently submit changes. You choose whether to send it for owner review.

External services

Links may open GCU Life, GroupMe, Google Maps, Google Calendar, Outlook, app stores, church or ministry sites, and other organizers’ pages. Those services have their own privacy practices.

Messaging and analytics

The website does not provide direct messages or push notifications. Community conversations take place in GroupMe. Product measurement, when enabled, is limited to coarse feature actions and excludes message text, profile fields, exact searches, room numbers, and precise location.

Sessions

Resources provides controls to sign out on this device or revoke all Phone Book sessions. Signing out does not publish or delete your profile.

Accessibility

We aim to support keyboard navigation, screen readers, readable contrast, reduced motion, zoom, and mobile touch targets. Report an accessibility barrier through the support channel below.

Corrections, deletion, and support

Use the correction and feedback form for inaccurate, unsafe, private, inaccessible, or outdated content and account-data requests. You can also reach the owner through The Phone Book GroupMe.

Material changes appear in the public changelog and update the date above.
